The terms and conditions set out below apply to the supply of goods or services from Solent Power to you, the customer, and by ordering you agree to be bound by them. No part of these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Solent Power reserves the right to accept or not accept any order at our discretion.
VAT is added to the product’s price at checkout, together with any applicable shipping costs in line with your stated delivery address. Solent Power strives to provide an efficient delivery service. Most goods are despatched within three business days following receipt of your order. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to offer delivery of any products to addresses in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and overseas. If you are ordering from British Overseas Territories, please get in contact before placing an order. We go through BOTs delivery on a case-by-case basis, dependant on the manufacturer. Due to high demand, we currently cannot guarantee delivery times and there could be a slight delay with delivery. Please bear this in mind when ordering our products. The larger units are sent by specialist couriers that do not have tracking or timed delivery.
All payments are processed through Woocommerce, an e-commerce platform for WordPress. We are therefore unable to accept cheques and cash on delivery. A VAT invoice in pdf format will be emailed to you. We do not hold any customer financial information.
When your goods arrive, Solent Power advises you to check the item(s) are in good condition and the quantity of items received corresponds to the quantity you are signing for. In the unlikely event that your goods have been damaged in transit, Solent Power advises you to refuse the delivery and contact our sales team immediately so that a replacement can be despatched to you as soon as possible. Solent Power will not be held liable for any consequential loss, damage or expense incurred by you the purchaser, or any third party, arising directly or indirectly out of late or non-delivery of your order or part thereof.
If you wish to return an item, you must inform Solent Power by email within 14 business days of receipt of goods with the reason for the request to return. (The 14-day cooling off period starts the day after receipt of the goods and excludes weekends and bank holidays). Solent Power requests goods are returned in a saleable condition, undamaged, in original packaging and with all accessories. Any order being returned that isn’t damaged will be subject to a restocking fee, that fee depends on the manufacturer. Items that are not received in a saleable condition will not be refunded in full. The purchaser will be responsible for return carriage when goods are not faulty. We cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged returns. Please, therefore, ensure the goods are insured. If any goods are damaged in transit, you will have to pursue a claim with the courier directly.
Solent Power will refund all customers within 28 days from date of return or order cancellation. You may cancel your order at any time prior to despatch by email quoting your order number. If the goods have already been despatched then the customer is responsible for the cost of the return of the goods, unless otherwise agreed.
Solent Power is a reseller of Generators and not the manufacturer. We are not responsible for any product directly. All our products are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty covering faulty materials and faulty workmanship but do not cover general wear and tear. All warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
