20kVA Diesel Generator – Baudouin Engine – Single Phase

Standby and prime power for data centres, hospitals, manufacturing and process-critical sites across the South. Supplied, installed, commissioned and maintained by our own engineers.

When choosing a diesel generator, your power requirements and specific needs will factor into the decision. Our 20kVA generators are powerful pieces of equipment that provide an immediate or backup electricity supply when needed.
Cost-efficient, compact and portable, these generators are the perfect solution if you want an eco-friendly solution to your power needs.
As authorised dealers of diesel generators, we only work with the most reputable manufacturers, guaranteeing a safe and reliable power source.
Emergency Backup Power: When outages happen, all business operations that rely on electricity cease to perform. Having a 20kVA diesel generator ensures you can always access a backup source and not have to deal with power cuts.
Construction sites: As construction sites often operate in remote areas, they have limited access to the grid. Using a diesel generator supplies the required power for equipment and tools.
Events and Entertainment: Outdoor events, concerts, and festivals require reliable power sources. Diesel generators are known for their portability and are often used in such settings.
Agriculture: Farms and agricultural operations might rely on generators to power irrigation systems, machinery and other equipment.
Telecommunications: Mobile cell towers and remote communication stations use diesel generators to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
Our generators are renowned for their durability and can keep your business operational. With an expert team, we’re happy to answer any questions and offer support for installing your generator or generator servicing and maintenance.
A 20 kVA generator’s fuel consumption depends on numerous factors, including the generator’s age, condition, and the type of fuel you’re using.
When running at 100% load, the generator uses an average of 5 to 6 litres and 3 litres at a 50% load.
Remember, these figures are estimates only, and your generator’s fuel consumption depends on the above.
Technically, the maximum load of a 20 kV diesel generator is 20 kW per hour, but we have to consider the power factor, as running the generator at 100% capacity isn’t recommended.
So, with a power factor of 0.8, the maximum load for a 20 kVA generator is 16 kW.
This is calculated using the formula:
Exceeding these limits could cause damage to your generator and often lead to early replacements.
You can use a 20 kVA diesel generator in a variety of applications, including:
It’s best to seek a higher-capacity generator if you have large-scale power needs.
