The hourly fuel consumption of an 80 kVA diesel generator depends on multiple factors, including the model, age, and fuel type.
Generators at a 100% load will burn 17 to 20 litres of fuel, while 75% loads typically consume between 12 and 15 litres.
Running the generator at a 50% load will burn considerably less fuel (between 8 and 10 litres).
If you’re unsure how much fuel your generator will burn, it’s best to look at the product’s specifications for an accurate estimate.
While diesel generators can run at 100% capacity, doing so can cause serious problems. We work out a generator’s advised maximum capacity based on its Power Factor rating, which is typically 0.8.
Your generator’s maximum recommended load is 64 kW, and running it at higher loads could damage the components.
An 80 kVA diesel generator is suitable for a variety of applications, including industrial settings where machinery and equipment need to be powered.
These generators also suit commercial buildings, including supermarkets and offices.
Small hospitals and healthcare centres can also benefit from these, or manufacturing plants might need a more powerful model.
